This New Ride is Hotter Than Ever

Around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday evening, the new Walt Disney World ride, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, caught fire. The fire was said to have started when a small amount of embers from the nightly fireworks at Magic Kingdom landed on the exterior of the new attraction. Numerous pictures and videos have been shared by onlookers via social media. It was reported that no one was injured during the fire. The damage was only cosmetic and the tracks, train, and even mechanics was not damaged. The Reedy Creek Fire Department responded to the scene within minutes of the accident. Within no time the fire was extinguished and the ride was back up and running. People were able to get back on the operating ride the same night.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a thrilling, kid-friendly, roller-coaster that takes you further into greater detail of the Walt’s first cartoon movie, Snow White. Waiting in line, the guest is able to take a trip through the dwarves’ cottage and over rock brides. Once boarding, you are taken on a journey through the dwarves’ gem mine. The ride is thrilling while also promised to be household friendly.

It absolutely blows my mind that Disney is able to put out a fire and have that same ride functional within several minutes. A small fire doesn't ruin the party at Disney.

  1. I love your blog! Honestly, the first paragraph scared me a little bit. When you said the Seven Dwarfs ride caught on fire, panic struck my heart. I absolutely love Disney world, it is a nice place to go for all ages. Although, they need to watch out where they position the fireworks next time, or I will never be able to experience the ride for the first time! I hope they expand the park with more exciting things. I have only seen the ride itself during the building process, however, i hope to go soon these holidays to ride this roller coaster. Maybe i will see you there!

  2. I love the clever title! That is really unfortunate that the great ride caught fire, but I am relieved that Disney was able to handle the situation so well. It's amazing that a major attraction can experience a dilemma such as a fire, and then continue serving it's purpose shortly after. Disney is definitely responsible with it's rides and parks and has things under control. I'm excited to see the future of this amazing park and hope that they expand even more in the future.

  3. Hehehe. This title made me giggle. But I am amazed that Disney was able to get that functioning the same night it caught on fire! Though I wonder how many people actually got back on the ride. I know I am already deathly afraid of well, dying on a roller coaster. So, if it catches on fire or even makes a funny noise I would be off of that ride quicker than those fire fighter people got to the fire!

  4. Got me bent! Even though the problem was resolved; I wouldn't get back on in fear it would happen again. I'm glad I wasn't there when it happened. I actually went to Disney this Summer, & rode it when it first came out. It wasn't that thrilling to me. I love Disney, and I hope this doesn't happen again.

  5. This ride sure is hot! At least your trip would end with a bang! (quite literally!) How crazy would it be if this happened while on a family vacation. I'm glad that they got there in time to put out the fire, but I feel it could have been avoidable. Hopefully, if there is a new ride on the future, they consider all the possible outcomes for safety hazards. At least there would be an awesome story to go back home with!
